MY DREAM,MY NIGERIA

Oniranu

I believe in a Nigeria filled with promises                      A black soil which is fertile,a black race of unity               A nation shielded in the canopy of love, peace and integrity                                 I dream of a Nigeria where children play in the streets without fear of death            A Nigeria which is not pregnant with tribalism and corruption                            A nation where the least citizen's voice can be heard  Why,when and how was this  dimension created                That deep black hole that sucked us in continuously till we were almost knocked out of existence.                          'OH NIGERIA' my fallen nation                                  who will save you from thyself                                    from this problem you so created                                  the lies, deceit and senseless limitations you embraced       The fake smiles and unruly behaviours you put up with  Why didn't you say 'NO'.       Why lay thou you as a feeble baby                            while men with fair bodies and long sticks weaken thy flesh                                      WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLEEP OH AFRICA,wake up from thy slumber oh Nigeria wash away the dirts of ignorance from thy wrinkled face            for  thy days are numbered                                  OH Nigeria,Give me a reason to believe                A reason to hope                                                  A reason to ' DREAM '

*Nature’s Love and Beauty*

Oniranu

While on my comfort zone, I started wondering about the subtility of nature and it’s awe-inspiring calls and then observed that it can’t be fully comprehended through speculations but by going to them, which to my astonishment got my nervous system to encapsulate virtually all about them from left, right and center with the horoscopic affinity between the calls and songs of their various garrulous sagacity just for the actions of the organs.
Just a while on sedentary, took my best foot wear on a well washed natives and landed my eyes wear to the normal position and then drove-off with my renovated jalopy and away was I for the day’s experience! Then the nice and dancing trees bid me good luck and I decided to have a tete-a-tete with her, after which she dashed my black polished bag five of her best products, wow! That was fantastic!
From their I decided to visit the running and cool streams, they were so happy and grateful for seeing their best pal. We both talked and talked till the scorching sun began being momentous and was left with no option, but to go and see my place of residence. Then, and only then was the stream able to wash away the little dirt from the tree’s product and away, I drove-off!
Wow! These elements are very crucial to my living, I thought for a while. But I observed in all that these natural elements, the sun, rocks, trees, winds and a whole lot of them seems to be aggravated and happy when I speaks to them and can only be elucidated and explicated when I visits. That’s a mind-blowing adventure even from the brain cells to the phalanges, a wonderful one indeed!

SERVANT-LEADERS,WITH THOU I PITCH MY TENT.

Oniranu

Adeleke John Colossus.

After series of arguments and questions which has started causing heat during the study of politics class in the Air conditioned Large lecture theatre of the first and best faculty of the social sciences in the country,A very good senior friend and colleague of mine-Mr Abdulahi Yusuf asked unequivocally "Sir,We have been diagnosing and analysing the problems of our dear country but a suitable way out has not been provided. As an experienced and erudite professor of political science ,what is the way out of this national dilemma". And as expected This question generates a lot of noise-like praises and accolades in the LLT that evening. After waiting for what seems like eternity for the noise to subside,Prof O.B.C Nwolise majestically walked in an humorous way in which he is known for to the board and wrote boldly "OUR LEADERS MUST BECOME SERVANTS".
This and many occasions has affirmed the fact that for us to have efficiency in leadership, servanthood is the key. I'm not surprised the late preacher, leader and public commentator -Dr Myles Munroe wrote in one of his publications that servanthood is the nature and attribute of true leaders.TRUE LEADERS!!! Servanthood connotes humility, selflessness, discipline, loyalty and total adherence to the voice of the people. Even looking at it from the religious binoculars, the two great holy books preach the tenet of leading through service. Unfortunately, this has been what our leaders are lacking at all levels. Let me close this short epistle with the popular maxim of the most ideological Socio-academic and political forum in the whole of the  south of the sahara, north of the Limpopo ,east of the skilashi and west of the skelemba-DGPF which says "TRUE LEADERSHIP IS SERVANTHOOD"......

HELLO,HOW ARE YOU TODAY?

Oniranu

-
I do everytin to make others happy
But no one cares to make me happy
This life seems to be a waste
Why can't I make myself happy?

    A world of not-caring
Its just so painful to bear
  Its a world of not-caring
Even God they seem not to fear

And even to church they go to pray
To ask their sins be forgiven
Their smiles seems to be fake and to you they say
Hello,how are you today?

Maths???

Oniranu

dread of the night
fear of the day
your rule alone is right
unknown is your domain
your ruling sign is X
equations and formulas
are your wicked gospel
Y we really don't know
all this great confusion
you seem to revel in
the signs of the algebraic
that you love oh so dearly
are to us very deadly
only if it were love
that keeps us awake all night
that makes our hearts erratic and wildly imagine
that makes souls yearn
but alas
it is the fear of your lovely art
O great mathematics

I wrote this during maths exam

*That hovering thought*

Oniranu

In the early hours of a pleasant Saturday morning, between the sleeping and eating periods, when the chucklings of the birds and the bleating of the goats was heard no more, when the scorching sun was no more and the pregnancy of the cloud was near, when the winds were soundy and the farmers’ plants thirsty for water, then was a triggering and clueless thoughts inhabiting a particular entity. At that moment, the long rest had gone on a vacation, leaving behind, a compromising and ‘instinctive’ thought!
After several hours, the chuckles of the birds and barking of dogs were heard, and then was the presence of a white cloud in dressed beautiful apparels and lovely robes for the days blessing. Having observed all these, I went to answer the calling of the chores and decided the next line of activity-playing games, visiting a friend, calling some old folks or catching the lost sleep. I decided to take a walk.
While walking, I found out that I’ve been dressed in costly apparels just like the morning cloud. I put on a nice and black-coloured pair of  glasses, a scholar’s bag on my back and a nicely sprayed deodorant, afterwards, I set-off. I walked like a man taking a survey and not having the basic skills. As I kept on walking aimlessly, I observed the noise from a long pathway and noticed that it must be a market scene, wow! I thought of what to get but was confused as to what to eat for that day. I saw animals bleating, trees waving and the songs of the vehicles and then decided to get a nicely prepared Scotch egg, which was attractive to the organs!
And I tried to get things needed for the body’s build-up, but sighted something which I couldn’t explain at first sight until I needed a close examination and comprehension. What was it that I sighted?  I saw that different……

TITLE : Road to hell

R.neefah

The road to hell they  say
Is paved with good intentions
Intentions so blur as the devils smile
Stealing every precious jewel
In my possession

When I sought what I didn't have,
When I sought what I wanted,
In the midst of me and them,
Forgetting what I have.

Selfish love takes everything in its reach.
If life was a game, I would be a winner ,
But nothing is fair in the game of life ,
Life itself is not a fair game ,
So I lost.

Scribbles

R.neefah

Should I kill the pen
              Or
Should I make the word
Should I make the world out of my scribbled words
               Or
Do I scribble out the words
With the use of the world and my enchanted pen and ink it's soul

Am I truly the one who creates words
           Or
The one who doesn't believe he creates words

Am I to make use of these words
                  Or
To live in this world

Do I really write these words ?
Do I write what they call beautiful ?

Maybe I don't believe myself
            Or
Maybe I really create these words
Out of this existing world
Maybe.

TITLE: When tomorrow comes

R.neefah

when tomorrow comes
Tell it what the past held
And what the present brought
Tell it of pain and anguish
And of happiness

When dawn has walked away
With moonlight in its arm
And the day gives rise
To its bouncing baby sun
Over and over again

As long as breathing doesn't blin
And man is still alive
To cause and to conquer

When tomorrow comes
And it is as ignorant as the latters
Tell it
To remember it is always pregnant
And one day,
It's pregnancy shall favor us
